New Mexico man killed in El Paso motorcyclist crash

EL PASO, Texas - A 28-year-old man from New Mexico is dead after a Saturday morning crash in west El Paso, according to police.

It happened after 8:30 a.m. near Doniphan and Sunland Park.

Officers say the 28-year-old motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Doniphan and approaching Sunland Park. They say a Ford F-150 truck driver turned onto Doniphan from Sunland Park in front of the motorcyclist.

Investigators say the motorcyclist clipped the front of the truck, then he hit a 2018 Lexus waiting on a red light. He was then ejected from his bike, hitting a 2019 Volkswagen.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital, but died, according to the police department. At this point, officers have filed no charges or citations.

Police have yet to identify the man killed or any of the drivers involved. Investigators say the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
