Fort Bliss soldier left seriously injured after hit and run

EL PASO, Texas - Police officials say a 20-year-old female Fort Bliss soldier was seriously injured after a hit and run crash.

It happened at around 12:35 a.m. while she was crossing Lee Trevino from the west curb to the east curb. A pick up truck traveling south bound struck her and fled the scene.

Special Traffic Investigators responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

The truck is described as a newer model pickup similar to a Chevrolet Silverado or GMC and white or grey in color. The truck will have front-end damage.

Investigators are asking the public's assistance in identifying the driver. Anyone with information should call the El Paso Police Department at (915) 832-4400 or call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915) 566-8477 (TIPS).
