Men’s health advocate brings tour to El Paso to raise awareness on living a healthier life

EL PASO, Texas -- Diagnosed with prostate cancer at age 35, Gabe Canales took it as a wake-up call to live a healthier, happier life.

He became a national men's health advocate, speaking and writing about the topic to educate men on the steps to improve their own health.

Canales joined ABC-7 at Noon to talk about his 2022 Blue Cure Men's Health Tour.

In the tour, Canales encourages men to schedule their annual check-ups, discuss cancer screenings with their physicians, eat more plants, and exercise daily.

Canales also encourages men not to smoke, to manage their stress and to get plenty of sleep.
