EL PASO, Texas -- More than half a million dollars worth of cocaine is off the streets of El Paso.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized almost 60-pounds of cocaine at the Bridge of the Americas.

It happened on October 4 as a man in his 40's tried to cross and was sent for a second inspection. A CBP K-9 and X-Rays led to the discovery of multiple packages hidden in the vehicle.

Both the drugs and driver a U.S. citizen were turned over to the Homeland Security Investigations Agents for processing.
