Caller threatened shooting at Amazon fulfillment center in far east El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- An unknown person called a suicide hotline Tuesday, threatening to open fire on employees at the Amazon fulfillment center in far east El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say they believed the threats to be imminent.

The Amazon fulfillment center was evacuated due to the threat, which occurred around 3:30 a.m. Several law enforcement and medical agencies responded to the scene. But the threat was later cleared.

The case remains under investigation.
