El Paso boy transferred to Lubbock hospital following severe shock injuries

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - Medical and first responder crews are warning El Pasoans of the dangers of electrical injuries following a teenage boy's injuries after climbing an electrical pole.

ABC-7 has confirmed that the boy who was critically injured has been transferred to a burn center in Lubbock, TX.

According to the Mayo Clinic, electrical shocks can leave someone with severe burns, cardiac arrest, and seizures, among other possible health problems.

The video has been circulating on social media showing the massive first responder presence at the scene Thursday evening.
