Road closures in El Paso County, Las Cruces for the week of April 23 to April 29

EL PASO, Texas -- From west to east El Paso, to Southern New Mexico there's a construction project in almost every part of the Borderland. Here's a complete list of TxDOT's and Las Cruces road closures April 23 to April 29.

Transmountain Project

Sunday, April 23 through Sunday, May 7 (Except Fridays and Saturdays)

9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (night)

·     Complete closure at Loop 375 (Transmountain) east and westbound between US-54 and Tom Mays State Park

·     Alternate Route:  IH-10

·     Crews will be removing concrete traffic barriers (CTB)

Loop 375 Widening Project

Sunday, April 23, through Thursday, April 27

Nightly, 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

  • Alameda Underpass and Socorro Underpass will be closed

Crews will be working on bridge structures

Sunday, April 23, through Thursday, April 27

Nightly, 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

  • Americas Avenue (frontage road) northbound left lane closure from Zaragoza Underpass to Pan American underpass 

Crews will be working on retaining wall

Sunday, April 23 through Thursday, April 27

Overnight 9:00p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

  • Americas Highway (Loop 375) Southbound main lane closure from North Loop Exit Ramp to Zaragoza Entrance Ramp

Crews will be working on bridge deck

Purple Heart Loop 375 Widening

Sunday, May 7 and Monday, May 8

Overnight, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

  • Purple Heart Highway (Loop 375) southbound Spur 601 Entrance Ramp closure
  • Purple Heart Highway (Loop 375) southbound right lane closure between Montana Entrance Ramp and Iron Medics Overpass

Crews will be placing concrete barrier. 

Montana Frontage Road Project

Monday, April 24 through Friday, April 28

Daily, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

  • Montana Avenue (US 62/180) westbound frontage road right lane and shoulder closure from Global Reach Drive to Limerick Drive

Crews will be switching barrier for traffic switch

 Guardrail Repair Project

Monday, April 24

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound between Vinton and Anthony left lane closed.

Tuesday, April 25

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound at Cotton exit ramp closed.

Wednesday, April 26

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound between Mesa and Thorn left lane closed.
  • North Desert at Mesa on-ramp closed.

Thursday, April 27

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • US-54 southbound between Paisano and Loop 375 (Border) eastbound right lane closed.

Friday, April 28

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 eastbound between Resler and Sunland Park left lane closed.

Miscellaneous Concrete Repair

Tuesday, April 25 through Friday, April 28

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound at Raynolds on-ramp closed.

Crews will be repairing riprap.

Maintenance

Monday, April 24 through Friday, April 28

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • I-10 east and westbound between Raynor and Cotton alternating lane closures.
  • I-10 westbound at Piedras entrance ramp closed.
  • I-10 eastbound Cotton entrance ramp closed.
  • I-10 eastbound at Schuster alternate lane closure.
  • I-10 east and westbound between Trowbridge and Buffalo Soldier alternate lane closures.

Crews will be repairing crack seal on bridge deck.

  • US-62 (Paisano) east and westbound between Campbell and Kansas left lane closed.
  • Montana between Gateway North and South right lane closed.

Crews will be working on handrails.

LAS CRUCES

Roadrunner Parkway Lane Closures

Roadrunner Parkway, from 700 feet south of Sonoma Springs Boulevard to Mission Road, will have lane closures for southbound and northbound traffic from Tuesday, April 25, 2023, to Monday, May 8, 2023.
 
The lane closures will be in effect weekdays during that period from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Arrowhead Road Closure

Arrowhead Road will be closed for approximately 14 days, from Majestic Ridge to Executive Place, starting Tuesday April 25, 2023.
