Biden to visit Japan, Australia for meetings with allies

President Joe Biden is making plans to travel overseas for two major summits next month.

Tuesday the white house announced the President will attend the G-7 meeting in Japan and and the Quad leaders' summit in Australia.

The 49th G-7 summit will be held in Hiroshima from May 19th to the 21st. While there, Biden is slated to discuss several global issues including the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, as well as food and climate crises.

Biden will then head to Sydney on May 24th for the Quad leaders' summit. Australia's Prime Minister is hosting the summit.

Biden will attend with Japan's and India's Prime Ministers. The four leaders are expected to discuss several issues including global health, climate change and maritime domain awareness.
