El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser set to update public on migrant crisis

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser will be addressing the public in a press conference at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Mayor Leeser is set to speak on the ongoing migrant crisis, ahead of the lifting of Title 42.

Earlier in the week, officials from the City of El Paso stated that the city will be declaring a state of emergency when the CDC health order is lifted in under two weeks.

The governor of Chihuahua Maru Campos said last week, over 35,000 migrants are currently in Juarez waiting to cross to the U.S. soon.
