One person rushed to the hospital after being shot in Central El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One person was injured after a shooting late Thursday night in Central El Paso, according to El Paso Police.

The person suffered severe injuries, according to first responders.

The shooting happened at the 2300 block of N. Copia Street, just before midnight.

Police alerted the public of the shooting around 12:30 a.m.

ABC-7 is sending a crew to the scene.
