ABC-7 First Alert: Tracking scattered showers and thunderstorms that may produce another round of heavy rain, strong winds, and blowing dust

Our StormTrack Weather Team has issued another ABC-7 First Alert for another round of scattered to widespread storms that may produce heavy rain, strong winds, and blowing dust. Scattered showers and thunderstorms have already popped up and drenched parts of town! Most of our storms have been isolated because of the cloudy skies which has yielded a lot of development in the area... Storms will persist through the evening hours and then chances will drop off after the sun sets.

A low pressure system is currently moving close to the Borderland which is continuing to give us a lot of moisture. After today, most of the higher elevations main see the most action, while the rest of the Lowlands have a minimal chance for rain and it will be hotter. A strong upper-level high will build over the Four Corners of America this week which will cause us to experience triple digit highs by Wednesday!
