Americas High School dismissed students early Friday after a reported stabbing.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - Americas High School Principal Nancy Torres published a statement Saturday afternoon just over 24 hours since a 15-year-old boy stabbed two 14-year-old boys and one 14-year-old girl near the school's campus Friday morning, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

In the statement, Principal Torres announced that school will be held on it's regular schedule starting this Monday, August 31, and that she would be, "meeting with all students by grade level to provide support, reassurance, and important information as we come together as a school family."

In addition, Principal Torres confirmed that students should expect, "extra law enforcement on campus Monday morning."

As ABC-7 has reported, the suspect faces three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and officials said one of the victims was airlifted to the hospital as a precaution.

As of Friday afternoon, two of the victims have since been released from the hospital, according to authorities, and said that can't release information about their identities due to their age and the nature of the investigation

Due to the stabbing, the school was temporarily placed on lockdown as a precaution Friday morning, officials said, and students were dismissed early for the day by Socorro ISD.
