Rain chances with highs in the 90s

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The Borderland can expect some isolated showers and thunderstorms to close out its weekend, particularly in western areas.

Storms may bring gusty winds and localized flooding while temperatures remain slightly above normal in the lowlands.

An upper high moves into position early next week.

This as rain chances persist, with moisture levels remaining well above average.

Going into Monday through Wednesday, storms activity is expected to push west of the Rio Grande.

Highs for today will be 98 F El Paso, 97 F Las Cruces.
