Highs temps and storm chances for Labor Day

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Overall, our Labor Day forecast is looking fairly dry until we reach our afternoon hours.

At that time, we can expect slight rain chances to increase.

We also expect storm activity to persist throughout this week, primarily targeting mountain areas with occasional activity in desert lowlands.

These storms are expected to produce gusty outflow winds and localized flooding in some areas.

While temperatures will remain above normal in the lowlands, fire weather concerns are limited due to moderate humidity and low wind speeds.

High temperatures will continue for our work week, with lowland highs reaching the mid to upper 90s.

Highs for today will be 98 F El Paso, 96 F Las Cruces.
