Buckle up for Way Out West Fest’s 10th year: ABC-7 preview

Get your boots, buckles and hats on because Way Out West Fest is back this weekend, celebrating their 10th year.

Good Morning El Paso's Nicole Ardila joins them live from Downtown El Paso on Friday morning with a preview of the festival.

The country music festival features headliner Cole Swindell on the Bud Light stage, along with openers Breland and Julia Cole, and other artists taking over the Lucchese Local Stage.

Down by Fore, a local country band performing on the Lucchese Local Stage will talk about how Way Out West Fest has helped launch their exposure.

Jaime Cabrera, co-founder of El Musico Tequila joins Good Morning El Paso to make the signature margarita that will be sold at WOW Fest and have an on-air sample and cheers to WOW Fest's 10 years.

He also talks about the El Musico Tequila Quest for the best margarita contest where 15 local bartenders compete to claim the crown.

Gina Roe-Davis, executive producer of the Way Out West Fest also joins to talk about the last 10 years and what's happening this year.

Inside the El Paso Convention Center, festivalgoers will find the chili challenge and some food trucks around there.

Also, money raised through registration fees from the "Cornhole for a Cause" Tournament and other activities are donated to the Cowgirl Up Charitable Fund -- which supports programs that empower women and girls in the arts.

The event has a strict clear bag policy.
