Former UTEP linebacker Alvin Jones released by Baltimore Ravens

Former UTEP linebacker, Alvin Jones is now in search of another NFL team.

Tuesday, Jones was released by the Baltimore Ravens just two days after the team’s first game of the season.

Alvin Jones is the brother of current Green Bay Packers’ running back, Aaron Jones.

Alvin Jones was entering his second season in the NFL with the Ravens organization.

He originally signed with the Ravens as a rookie free agent in May 2018.

Last season, Jones spent the majority of his time on the practice squad, and this season Jones saw some playing time in the preseason in hopes of making the team, but injuries got in the way.

Jones got hurt and was placed on injured reserve prior to the team finalizing its 53-man roster.

Tuesday, he along with two other players were released to make room for running back Mark Thompson who was added to Baltimore’s practice squad.

Reports say Jones was let go after reaching an injury settlement.
