Ryan Warner taking over as Chapin head football coach

More than a month after Chapin's head football coach announced he was stepping down, the school appears to have found their new head coach.

ABC-7 has confirmed Ryan Warner will be taking over the program.

Warner was the offensive coordinator at Franklin High School, but his roots run deep at Chapin High School because that's where he graduated from.

The Cougars had a great season in 2019 finishing the year with an 8-3 record and Warner was a big part of the team's success.

Warner will now take over a program that finished 2-9 last season.

It was back in December when Chapin's head football coach Rene Hernandez announced he was stepping down after 20 years at chapin, 13 of those years were as a head coach of the Huskies.
