EL PASO, Texas -- If you are a diehard UTEP sports fan and are itching to give your input, here’s your chance.

UTEP Athletics is seeking ten new members for its Fan Council. Ten current members of the council are nearing the end of their terms.

The Fan Council serves as a way for Miner fans to formally engage with the Athletics Department with ideas, questions and feedback.

In addition, the Fan Council also serves as an advocate for Miner fans and helps to address the myriad of issues that face Division I college athletics.

The council meets quarterly and consists of 30 people serving on one-, two- and three-year terms. Incoming members will serve for a total of three years.

Applications are being accepted through June 15.
