UTEP back in win column following 77-69 victory against New Mexico at The Pit

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - The UTEP Miners notched another win Sunday afternoon taking down the New Mexico Lobos by a final of 77-69.

The win for the Miners snapped a 2-game losing streak and provided some much needed momentum for the team as they prepare for their next game against McNeese State on Thursday.

UTEP took a 33-30 lead into the half and never gave up the lead in the second half of the game.

UTEP's Souley Boum led the way in scoring for the Miners with 26 points.

Defense was a big factor in the game as the Lobos turned the ball over to the Miners a total of 16 times.

Free throws also a critical component as the Miners were 22-29 from the line.

Miners improve to 5-4 on the season.

UTEP's next game against McNeese State is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center.
