LAS CRUCES, New Mexico - While the state of Texas will kickoff the high school football season in three weeks, New Mexico will get a jumpstart a week early.
Las Cruces High School will begin the 2022 season on August 19 when they travel to Volcano Vista.
The Bulldawgs are hoping for another great season, and one that leads to another deep run in the playoffs.
In 2021, the Bulldawgs ended the season with a 7-5 record.
They made it all the way to the semi-finals of the state playoffs.
The Bulldawgs would be eliminated by the eventual state champions, Rio Rancho Cleveland.
The first home game for the Bulldawgs will be against the defending state champs Rio Rancho Cleveland on September 10 at the Field of Dreams.
