Silver City basketball player shines at the college level

EL PASO, Texas - A basketball player from Silver City, New Mexico is finding success at the college level.

Katelynn Limardo is a junior at Montana State in Bozeman, Montana.

Last season, she played in all 35 games for the Bobcats, and was a starter in 34 of those games.

Limardo averaged 7.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3, steals and 1.2 assists per game.

She helped lead the Bobcats to a Big Sky Tournament Championship last season, and also to the NCAA Tournament.

Limardo graduated from Silver High School in Silver City, NM in 2020.

She had offers from UTEP and New Mexico State, but chose to attend Montana State.

This upcoming season will be Limardo's third season with the Montana State Bobcats.
