LAS CRUCES, New Mexico - The New Mexico State Aggies got some good news Wednesday morning with the return of their head football coach, Jerry Kill.

Coach Kill had not been at practices this week due to a medical situation according to NMSU officials.

No other details were provided.

However, Wednesday morning the team was surprised to see coach Kill back at practice.

Kill did not speak with the media following Wednesday's practice.

NMSU offensive coordinator Tim Beck did confirm with members of the media that coach Kill does plan to coach this Saturday when the team heads to Albuquerque to take on the New Mexico Lobos.

Coach Kill is in the middle of his second season at NMSU.

He has a history of medical issues that in 2015 forced him to resign as the head football coach at Minnesota.

Kill is a cancer survivor, and suffers from epileptic seizures.

NMSU is currently 1-2 on the season coming off a loss on the road against Liberty.

Kickoff for Saturday's game against the UNM Lobos is at 6:00 p.m.
