New Mexico High School Football sets their postseason brackets

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- The New Mexico Activities Association has announced the full bracket for high school football playoffs across the state.

The Borderland has several teams advancing to the postseason, starting with Centennial High School earning the #2 seed at the Class 6A level. The Hawks will play the winner of Las Cruces High versus Los Lunas. The #7 seeded Las Cruces Bulldawgs will host the Los Lunas Tigers this coming weekend.

At the Class 5a level, its a Borderland matchup between the #8 seed Gadsden Panthers and the #9 seed Mayfield Trojans. That game set to kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 3rd, at Sal Gonzalez Stadium.

The Deming Wildcats, who took down Gadsden in the final week of the regular season 12-10, have earned the #5 seed and is set to take on the Belen High School Eagles.
