UTEP women’s golf kicks off Mountain West era in Albuquerque

EL PASO, Texas -- UTEP women's golf will tee off the 2026-27 campaign at New Mexico's Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., on the UNM Championship Course (par 72 | 6,354 yards) on Monday and Tuesday.

The first two rounds will tee off Monday at 7:30 a.m. MDT with a shotgun start. The final round will be on Tuesday.

The tournament marks the first of four fall events for the Miners and the beginning of UTEP's first season as a member of the Mountain West Conference.

Making the trip for the Miners are Camila Echavarri, Blanca Yrizar, Luciana Origel, Atikan Cherdchoo and Taline Kyoumjian. Essi Ekholm will compete as an individual. Echavarri and Ekholm, both international signees, will make their collegiate debuts.

The Miners will compete against host New Mexico, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Fresno State, Montana State, Nevada, Northern Arizona, Pepperdine, Sacramento State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UC Irvine and UNLV.
