UTEP Men’s Golf Finishes 10th at the Mark Simpson-Colorado Invitational

BOULDER, Colo. – UTEP (281-278-295—854) finished in 10th place at the 16th Mark Simpson-Colorado Invitational at the Boulder Country Club (par 70 | 6,967 yards) on Wednesday. 

The Miners carded an 854 and finished two strokes behind Pacific (282-280-290—852). Arkansas State (267-274-272—813) moved up a spot to capture the team championship after shooting an 8-under par 272 in the final round. Long Beach State (265-273-282—820) dropped a spot to finish second. Host Colorado (272-275-278—825) finished third.

Julien Dulait (66-70-72—136) finished tied for 17th. The freshman got off to a strong start, firing a 4-under par 66 in the opening round and entered the second round tied for fifth. Dulait penciled in nine birdies over the two days.

Marc Keller (70-72-70—212) moved up 18 spots to tie for 32nd. Keller recorded seven birdies.

Patrick Foley (73-68-77—218) struggled in the final round, finishing tied for 61st. Foley recorded 10 birdies.

Alexandre Godin (76-68-77—221) dropped 13 spots to tie for 75th. 

Luke Harwick (72-75-75—223) tied for 81st.

Arkansas State’s Henry Styles (63-64-68—195) maintained his lead to win the individual title. Arkansas State’s Jake Wallis (66-69-66—201) moved up five spots to finish second, and Colorado’s Brandon Knight (65-69-68—202) finished third.
