EL PASO, Texas - The UTEP Miners will get another shot at finishing what they tried to do back in March.

That's pull off an upset on the hardwood against perennial powerhouse Kansas University.

The Miners and Jayhawks are set to meet on the court this December.

UTEP has yet to confirm the matchup, but on Tuesday Kansas released its non-conference basketball schedule, and the Miners are on the schedule.

The game is scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, but it won't be played at Allen Fieldhouse, the home court of the Jayhawks.

Instead, UTEP and Kansas will square off at the T-Mobile Events Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

This will be the second meeting between the two schools in 2021.

UTEP and Kansas squared off against each other in a late non-conference matchup back in March shortly before the start of their respective conference tournaments.

In that game, the Miners led the majority of the game, but fell behind in the closing minutes narrowly losing to the Jayhawks by a final score of 67-62.

This will be a great test for UTEP's new head coach, Joe Golding, as he'll try to do what former UTEP coach Rodney Terry couldn't do last season.

Pull off the upset against the Jayhawks.
