Fort Bliss soldier dies following hit and run crash

EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police have identified a Fort Bliss soldier killed in a hit and run crash in east El Paso.

Police say 20-year-old Alyssa Rae Clinger died Monday from her injuries.

According to investigators, Clinger was seriously injured after being hit by a pick-up truck traveling southbound on Lee Trevino Sunday morning at 12:35 a.m.

Police say the truck's driver did not stop. Investigators are looking for a light-colored, write or gray newer model pick-up truck similar to a Chevrolet Silverado or GMC with front-end damage.
