El Paso Police: Registered nurse threatened to kill officers by giving them Fentanyl at his hospital

EL PASO, Texas -- A 30-year-old registered nurse threatened to kill officers by giving them Fentanyl if he ever saw them at the hospital where he works, according to El Paso police.

Police arrested Steven Holguin of northeast El Paso on Monday, June 27 and charged him with Obstruction or Retaliation.

Holguin was first arrested on Saturday, June 25 at the Cincinnati Entertainment District. According to police, while Holguin was being transported to the Regional Command, Holguin made the Fentanyl threat to officers.

He was released from the El Paso County Detention Facility on June 25, and was re-arrested on June 27, police say.
