EL PASO, Texas– El Paso Police confirm one man was arrested under multiple charges after crashing into vehicles at Viva Nissan in East El Paso Monday morning.

Employees told ABC-7 the man was driving a white SUV and hit eight cars in the parking lot of Viva, and attempted to flee.

Police later arrested the man on site, using a taser.

Fire officials said he was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

In a statement, Viva Nissan said team members witnessed the driver cut into the parking lot, strike three new cars and five pre-owned vehicles and caused thousands of dollars in damage.

They said the driver also knocked out three light poles and damaged the property.

They added no customers or Viva Nissan employees were hurt.

“The Viva Auto Group is grateful to the El Paso Police Department for its quick action to help mitigate an unfortunate incident at the Viva Nissan dealership.”
