UPDATE: El Paso police say the man suffered life-threatening injuries. Broaddus Ave. Gateway South intersection is still blocked off as of 11:05 a.m.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso police say a man was taken to the hospital after a report of an assault/shooting.

It happened sometime before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

It happened at Gateway South Blvd. and Broaddus, according to El Paso police.
