I worked in over eight city departments for over 20 years, including the mayor's, and over 15 years at UTEP and Community College.

Personal

I am 65 years old, retired and born in the Segundo Barrio, where I always lived. I have six associate degrees from Community College and graduated from Bowie in 1979. 


What is your position on data centers?

Data centers shouldn't need anything from the locations and should be built anywhere unless voters say they can be built with the right of voters to choose if they still want them at any time. 

What would you do differently to reduce property taxes?

First, reduce all budgets and review both property values and reduce residential charges, especially to the poor, elderly and special exceptions voted upon. 

What’s your position on the Deck Plaza project?

The Deck Plaza needs to be voted upon and reduced in size and cost.

What are your plans to ensure transparency and make sure you are accessible to constituents?

If voter approved, to ensure transparency, I will do as much as I can to check into all city departments and will push for whatever is needed to know and be told by our government what our right to know and broadcast as much as possible. Opening a new city news broadcast via Internet on daily events and channels with the community.
