ABC-7 StormTRACK Weather: Hot and very dry

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday to you. So far today, we've reached the mid-90s, which is about 10 degrees above the seasonal average. Tomorrow will be even hotter...looking at the first 100 degree day of the year! Triple digits is likely in El Paso only, Las Cruces and the rest of the region will still be hot, but not quite 100 degrees hot.

A lunar eclipse is on the way tomorrow as well. It'll begin at 7:45 PM and peak at 10:11 in our region. The only thing that may prevent us from seeing it in its entirety are some clouds. I don't think our entire sky will be blocked out by clouds, instead, we will have some partly cloudy skies that will hopefully allow us to see the eclipse.

Winds won't be too bad for the week ahead either, but I do think they'll start to pick up by Friday of the next week. We will also have a week-long cool down- by the end of the week, we should be in the mid to low 90s instead of high 90s and 100s! Stay cool, stay safe, and hydrate everyone!
