ABC-7 First Alert: Wind and dust stay for the holiday

Good afternoon all, and happy holiday weekend. I'm sorry it had to be like this- windy, hot, and dusty, but the weather gods decide, not me! I think you will still be able to enjoy the holiday, but just plan most things inside that's for sure. Let the chef worry about cooking on the grill, but make sure he or she has a water bucket with them.

Monday will be similar to today although, with slightly lower wind gusts (30-35mph range). Tuesday through the rest of the week will be hot, with Wednesday looking to be the hottest day. On Thursday and Friday there is a rain potential, but various forecast models are still predicting different trends, so I won't give too much information now because things could change. But if you know me- I love the rain so I hope it comes.

We should have lighter winds throughout the week as well. Stay safe and enjoy the holiday.
