Power outages impacting neighborhoods in Lower Valley, West El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- According to the El Paso Electric outage map, there is a power outage impacting more than 1,000 houses in the Lower Valley, near the border with Santa Teresa.

The largest is just below Franklin High School, impacting nearly 3,000 houses.

Another outage is impacting more than 200 houses along the border between New Mexico and Texas, near Anthony.

The outage is likely due to the severe weather impacting the Borderland right now.
