Storms wallop parts of El Paso

Showers and storms slammed parts of El Paso this afternoon and evening. That's why the ABC-7 weather team issued that ABC-7 First Alert Monday to give you an advanced warning of the potential storms. The El Paso Airport picked up .52" so far today - the most so far this year in a 24-hour period.

The National Weather Service issued numerous severe thunderstorms due to the heavy rain, flooding and hail.

The storms will weaken tonight with some drier air in place for Wednesday.
