Much improved weather for Tuesday

It was a rough day across the Borderland with strong winds along with blowing dust and sand. Peak gusts hit 58 mph in El Paso with poor air quality and elevated pollen from those winds. Peak gusts reported by a weather watcher in NE El Paso hit 72.

The winds will gradually settle overnight, but they are still a bit gusty. The passage of a weak cold front has ushered in some cooler air, which makes it feel colder with the winds.

Tuesday will be very nice with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70's and low 80's.
