ABC-7 First Alert continues – Windy, dusty, nasty this evening; more wind and dust next week.
Gusts from the SW has once again exceeded 50 mph this afternoon. The peak gust hit 53 mph. This is the 19th day of 50+ mph winds so far this year. The winds will gradually weaken tonight and the dust and sand will settle after 8 pm.
The ABC-7 weather team has extended the First Alert for next Sunday and Monday for more strong winds along with blowing dust and sand.
