ABC-7 StormTrack Weather – Temps slowly cool a bit with storm chances on the increase

Triple digit temperatures hit the area again Tuesday but no record highs. El Paso hit 101 for the 40th triple on the season so far.

The area thunderstorms did send out some outflow boundaries that caused some gusty winds which kicked up the dust and sand and brought us poor air quality. The air will gradually improve overnight.

Temps will slowly cool the rest of the week as a some added moisture will be on the increase. High will be in the mid and upper 90s - still above average for this time of year. I do expect a gradual increase in storm chances this week with the better chances arriving Friday and Saturday.
