ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Triple-Digit Heat Returns

El Paso’s heat is about to turn up another notch as temperatures climb back into the triple digits, with a stretch of very hot and mostly dry weather taking shape across the Borderland.

We’ve already reached 40 triple-digit days this season, but the pace is about to increase. After a brief break from the extreme heat, highs will surge back into the low 100s, with several days expected to come close to or potentially challenge daily records. The latest outlook has temperatures reaching the 103-degree range Wednesday, followed by additional 101-to-102-degree days through the weekend and into early next week.

Our rain chances will be very limited with a slight chance for storms later Wednesday and again for Thursday. Most of us will likely stay pretty dry for the weekend.
