ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Above average temperatures for Sunday as rain chances increase into the beginning of the week

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The Borderland staying hot for Sunday, but a change in our weather pattern is approaching. Lowland temperatures still tracking near 100 degrees, about 10 degrees above normal. Temperatures will slowly cool through next week.

Storm chances also tracking to begin increasing on Sunday. Scattered storms expected over the mountains during the early afternoon, with a few isolated storms possible across the lowlands later in the afternoon and evening. Most storms will stay limited, but a few could bring heavy rain and gusty winds.

By Monday and Tuesday, more moisture looking to move into the Borderland, helping storms become more widespread across our viewing area. The risk of flash flooding looking to still be low during this part of the week.
