KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Tracking continued warmer temperatures across the Borderland this weekend, but a few showers could bring changes for Saturday and Sunday.

Moisture moving north from Mexico helping bring isolated to scattered showers Saturday afternoon and evening. Rain chances favoring western part of our viewing areas, although many locations looking to stay dry.

Sunday brings another chance for showers across the region. Rain coverage is tracking to remain limited, with some neighborhoods potentially seeing rain while others stay dry. Despite nearby tropical systems, the National Weather Service says neither is expected to have a major impact on local weather.

Temperatures loooking to remain above normal in many areas through the weekend and into early next week. On Sunday, areas east of the Rio Grande are expected to be warmer than normal, while locations to the west could run a few degrees cooler than average.

By Tuesday, a weather system moving east will push much of the moisture and rain chances out of the region. Cooler temperatures are expected by the middle of next week, with another cold front possibly bringing a bigger drop in temperatures late Friday into next weekend.
