ABC-7 First Alert: Extreme heat

It will be very hot for your Friday. Temps will likely hit between 103-110 across the El Paso area including southern New Mexico. There will also be a slight chance for an isolated rain shower/thunderstorm later afternoon and night.

This is El Paso's 5th triple of the year so far - last year we had 47 total triple digit days with 106 being the hottest.

Temps will cool down next week behind a cold front.
