StormTRACK Weather: Storm chances to the west, dry in the east

rain totals 061320

El Paso, Texas- After an eventful 48 hours, we still cannot rule out the possibility of seeing an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm for the Borderland.

In the past 24 hours alone, we've accumulated .2 inches of rain at the at the El Paso International Airport. Putting our monthly total at.25 inches of rain for June.

Expect temperatures to be near average today. Forecasting a high of 95 for El Paso, Las Cruces topping off at 93. Winds will be on the breezy category from the southeast 10-20 MPH, gusts reaching 25 MPH. I will leave a 10% chance for both cities of seeing an isolated rain shower and possibly a thunderstorm in place later this afternoon.

Best storm chances will be out west, with eastern counties remaining dry.
