ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Tracking isolated thunderstorms this evening in the Borderland, chance for scattered to widespread storms this weekend

Most of today's action remained in the mountains and west of the Continental Divide, but a couple of rouge storms made it to parts of Southern Otero County.

Chances will increase this weekend. Tomorrow, the Borderland see a wave of moisture move in and we may see scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening hours.Likewise, tomorrow high won't be too bad... only forecasting a high of 97. Sunday is looking like our best day for rain! Our chances will be scattered to widespread with heavy rain and localized flooding possible.

Here's the weather setup for the next several days... a high pressure system, which is positioned over the Mississippi Valley will shift to the west and a low pressure system will move slowly across Northern Mexico. Both of these system shifts will pull moisture from the Gulf into the Borderland.
