ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Tracking potential triples and increasing rain chances in the Borderland

We are tracking above normal daily highs in the Borderland today and tomorrow with highs up to 100. After tomorrow, the daily highs will continue to be above normal, but it will be slightly cooler. This is because the heat dome that has caused triples for the next several days in the Borderland is continuing to move east. As it moves east, it will cool down and increase in rain chances.

Storm chances increase starting tomorrow through the end of the week.

Here's the weather setup for the next week... An upper-level high that was fixed over New Mexico is shifting to the east of the Borderland. Highs will stay a little high for the end of the month/beginning of September. With this, rain chances will increase early this week. The same high will build over the Southeastern Region of the US which will lower our rain chances with a low southeasterly moisture flow, BUT a trough may pull moisture from the southwest (Pacific Ocean) later this week which may give us a slight chance for rain at the end of the week.
