Tunnel Vista Falls near Cloudcroft offers a respite from the heat with a waterfall cool down

CLOUDCROFT, New Mexico -- It's a little oasis just west of Cloudcroft called Tunnel Vista Falls.

The waterfall sits at the end of the hiking trail located near High Rolls Mountain Park off Highway 82.

The hike located in the Lincoln National Forest offers a cool spot for people to beat the triple-digit heat.

ABC-7's New Mexico Mobile Newsroom spotted several hikers on Wednesday hoping to cool off in the small pool that feeds into the Fresnal Creek.

The trail can be located right off the Tunnel Vista Observation Site, which offers a spectacular view of the Tularosa Basin.
