Students’ artwork being auctioned to help Newaygo animal shelter

    NEWAYGO, MI (WXMI) — Portraits painted by a Newaygo High School art class to raise money for a local animal shelter are up for auction.

All the portraits are of animals that are up for adoption at Lake Haven Animal Shelter, and the profits from the auction will be donated to the shelter.

The pieces will be on display at Newaygo Carnegie Library until the end of the year.

The auction is being done on the shelter’s Facebook page. To place a bid, comment on the price underneath the portrait.

Bidding will end at 10 a.m. Dec. 18.
