Meta safety products team dissolved

MENLO PARK, California --

Facebook's parent company Meta is dissolving its responsible innovation division. The team heled address potential harms from the company's products.

The reason for cutting the the team: meta says there were redundancies.

Specific product teams were already doing the work assigned to the teams. Two dozen employees from the teams were moved to other parts of the company.

Meta is cutting back as it continues to struggle with growth. The company however, is still investing in futuristic technology.
