ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Mostly Dry Halloween Saturday Before Storms Return Sunday

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Good news for Halloween! The Borderland is looking at mostly dry weather Saturday, with light winds and comfortable temperatures for trick-or-treating.

Skies will stay mostly cloudy throughout the day. Afternoon temperatures will reach the low to mid-70s, while evening temperatures drop into the 60s after sunset. Winds will remain light, making for comfortable conditions for Halloween activities.

There could be a stray shower Saturday, mainly around Deming and areas farther west, but most locations should stay dry.

The weather changes Sunday afternoon and evening as another storm system moves into the Southwest. Showers and thunderstorms are possible, with the best chances across Hudspeth and southern Otero Counties.

Winds will also become breezy Sunday afternoon, with speeds around 15 to 25 mph and gusts reaching up to 40 mph. Showers could continue overnight into Monday, with some lingering rain possible Monday morning and afternoon.

Drier weather is expected to return Tuesday and continue through at least Friday, giving the Borderland a much-needed break from the rain.

Enjoy Halloween, stay safe while celebrating, and keep checking ABC-7 StormTrack Weather for updates for Sunday's storms.
