Las Cruces football coach put on administrative leave

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) - Las Cruces Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) confirms Mark Lopez has been put on administrative leave.

The district did not release the reason for the decision since it is a personnel issue.

Lopez is a football coach at Las Cruces High School.

According to ABC-7 archives, Lopez was named head football coach in April 2016 after serving as assistant football coach for the previous 18 years.
